The “EATING OUT” project is a private initiative of the Cyprus Celiac Association and aims to create a “network” of certified restaurants which offer safe gluten-free meals.
The guide of the “EATING OUT” program of the Cyprus Kiliokakis Association trains professionals in order to successfully prepare gluten-free meals. This is a quality assurance framework that applies specific rules, procedures and controls. Both the training and the necessary audit take place by specialized independent auditors.
Similar programs are successfully implemented in many countries of the European Union.
All restaurants that have been certified under the “Eating Out” project until 2020 are listed below. This certification lasts 1 year. Due to the emergency conditions emanating from the COVID-19 the 2021 audits were not duly completed. Thus the relevant certificates have not been updated. Once the audits are completed our website will be updated accordingly. In the meantime if you visit any of these restaurants prior to the recertification be extra careful and if you are not entirely certain that safe gluten free food could be prepared then avoid any consumption of food at these places.
